Otter Development (Class full, please email for waitlist inquiries)

Group requirements:

  • 5 - 10 years old
  • Comfortable in deep water with insructor in the water
  • Comfortable in shallow water without intructor

Training Days/ Times (Choose 1-2 days):

  • Monday and/or Wednesday: 4:00-4:30

End of Session Goals:

  • Can swim 1 length of the pool
  • good body awareness in the water 
  • Introductury understanding of freestyle and backstroke

 

Otter Junior 1

Group Requirements:

  • Can swim 1 length of the pool 
  • Good knowledge of freestyle and backstroke

Training Days/ Times (Choose 1-3 days):

*Note: To get the most out of this group min 2 days/week is recommended*

  • Monday: 4:45pm - 5:30pm
  • Tuesday, Thursday: 4:00pm - 4:45pm

End of Session Goals:

  • Able to swim 4 lengths (100m) without stopping
  • Understand breaststroke and butterfly
  • Able to turn well and dolphin kick 3 kicks under water in streamline
  • Athletic swim start off blocks

Otter Junior 2

Group Requirements:

  • Able to swim 4 lengths (100m) without stopping
  • Understand breaststroke and butterfly
  • Able to complete flip and touch turns
  • Competent in freestyle and backstroke

Training Days/ Times (Choose 1-3 days):

*Note: To get the most out of this group min 2-3 days/week is recommended*

  • Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 4:45pm - 5:45pm

End of Session Goals:

  • Able to complete a 200 Individual Medley with no disqualifications 
  • Able to dolphin kick 5m off of every wall for 200m
  • Full understanding of all 4 strokes

Otter Senior

Group Requirements:

  • Able to complete a 200IM "legally"
  • Full understanding of all 4 strokes
  • Ability to focus on technique that will be taught
  • Ability to train full 75min practices

Training Days/ Times (Choose 1-4 days):

*Note: To get the most out of this group min 3 days/week is recommended*

  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 5:45pm - 7:00pm

End of session goals:

  • Refined technique in all 4 strokes
  • Increased aerobic abilities
  • Increased anaerobic abilities
  • Able to re-teach what they have learned to other swimmers
